Photos of native plants at Violet Creek Nursery

Here are some photos.

This is a columbine. It is a natural hummingbird feeder. It is self sustaining. You don't need to to buy a plastic gizmoz to hang, use white sugar, keep it clean, etc. Instead, plant a columbine. When the plant blooms the nectar is ready for the hummingbirds. It is a healthy, natural food and the plant is lovely to look at. After the flowers have finished blooming, the stem turns its head up and then sets seed. This way the seeds don't fall out! Isn't nature so adaptive. These things are happening all around us but do we notice?
